The Swiss Government, through the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), will provide 4.25 million CHF (4.59 million USD) in non-refundable aid to the “Institutional strengthening and capacity building for sustainable urban development in Vietnam” project.
The Ministry of Construction in coordination with the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and SECO organised a workshop on April 13 to launch the project.
Vietnam is among countries with the most rapid urbanisation rates in Southeast Asia, with the number of urban areas jumping from 480 to 830 between 1986 and 2019./.
